I first heard of Gilbert-American when I received a T-shirt from a race that I entered. Not only was the shirt awesome, it came while I was looking for a vendor to screen print shirts for our middle school. I immediately contacted Lee and got the wheels rolling.

Our first order was for 100 sweatshirts and to be honest, it was a struggle to get those orders in, especially since it was the holidays. But when the shirts were delivered and the students put them on things went crazy. Everyone loved them and the next day I had a dozen new orders come in. Within a week I had 80 orders! This from a student body of less than 300!

I work as a ski instructor at a local mountain and believe it or not - the children are proudly wearing the sweatshirts as their outer layer! Although it warms my heart to see them, it also shivers my timbers every time I see them!!

Expressing sincere thanks to our key customers is an important part of our ongoing sales effort. Thanks typically have gone to a few key decision makers that are influential in the buying decision. However, we have certainly recognized that enduring relationships need to be established all through the organizations, not just at the buying level.

Your recent suggestion that we provide every employee of one of our larger customers with a special, custom-designed T-shirt was quite a departure from our norm. After we weighed the benefits of placing a modest thank you in the hands of each employee versus an extravagant dinner for a few, it made sense to go ahead with the project.

Recently, at a special awards ceremony, we presented a few hundred Gilbert-American T-shirts to the Division General Manager of a large, East Texas coal mine. The six color, specially designed logo with the very subtle inclusion of our logo and our distributor's on the sleeve was a tremendous hit. Because the logo was so unique and truly a one-of-a-kind, the gift did not become a standard give-away that gets repeated additional requests. Rather, it's almost become a collector's item that keeps our name in front of every employee of this key customer.

We look forward to further exploring this idea with other notable customers and certain key vendors as part of our quality initiative.

Everyone continues to praise your outstanding workmanship and quality.

To jog your memory, we had spoken about printing a Wolf on some black material for the center of a quilt that the students will be putting together for the dedication in October. I have enclosed the material for you to do so if it would not be too much trouble. We had briefly spoken about the placement of the name and date, if it is possible can we move the name of the school to the top of the wolf and place the date on the bottom? If this is not possible please let me know as we do not intend to create any problems.

I have briefly spoken with the teachers, and there seems to be an interest in doing some more maroon polos. We have had to add to our staff at West and I will need to place an additional order. Is there a minimum order and can I add it to the order on September 5th? They also wanted me to find out some prices on long sleeve shirts with West Foundation Elementary in Navy. Can you let me know?

Working with Gilbert-American was a very easy experience. Mr. Gilbert and Charles had given us a color print out of what our T-shirt logo would be like. We had taken their logo and presented it to our board. It was easy to show them the color logo just as it would be on the shirt. We then came up with a logo of our own. I called and told Charles what we wanted and within a week, I had a color copy of exactly what we wanted.

Lee Gilbert and Charles had gotten our shirts out in about a 2 week turn around. It was the fastest service we had ever had in my time doing T-shirts. They not only got them out when promised, but Mr. Gilbert looked all over the US, looking for a certain size T-shirt.

I would truly recommend Gilbert-American to any school, church, or organization. This company goes beyond and above the call of duty. They will not let a product out of their hands or into their hands unless that product meets their standards of quality.

One thing I liked about Gilbert-American is that they not once said "I can't". We had a logo in mind and without seeing what we had in mind, they delivered exactly what we wanted. They even found the sizes we needed. They are very dedicated to what they do.

Mr. Gilbert got back to me on a one on one basis. They were always available. They both went above the call of duty.

I truly recommend this company and am ready and willing to use them again. They have so much enthusiasm in their finished products and what even makes it better, the enthusiasm is true.

I wanted to take a minute to tell you how much I like the shirts I recently ordered from you. I order the Guardian Ad Litem Sweat Shirts and "Speak up for a child" tee shirts. I couldn't believe what great quality these shirts are when I think of how little they cost. The colors on the designs are bright and true. My four year old daughter especially liked hers because it has her "pasorite" (Favorite) color on it - red.

I am the Spirit Chairperson for Nebbie Williams Elementary School. Last spring when I was asked to serve in this capacity, I immediately started to think about T-shirts for this, our brand new elementary school. I called several people I know for recommendations for businesses to contact to print our shirts. One of the businesses that was recommended to me was Gilbert-American. Not only did Lee quote me prices for shirts, he told me he could print all kings of other spirit items for us as well. I hadn't thought about Nebbie Williams socks or tote bags! I told him I would bring these ideas up at our PTA board meeting two days later. He asked if he could bring samples of his work to my house the next day and I could have them to take to my meeting.

Lee not only brought examples of his work, he brought some sample Nebbie Williams logos he had put together for our PTA Board to look over, and a list of his clients I could call for reference. I had told Lee on the phone that we were going to be a fairly small school, and not to expect a big order. In spite of that, he went to a great deal of effort to get our business. And get it he did! The PTA Board looked at his shirts and at the logos he had done for us. They also remembered our spirit shirts from the previous year that another company had done. Our Board overwhelming approved using Gilbert-American.

As it turns out, Lee's design for the Nebbie Williams T-shirt was so popular, that just about every child at our school bought one, and so did their parents, grandparents, the teachers and staff. Even our custodian stopped me and gave me her order for a shirt.

It will be my recommendation that Nebbie Williams use Gilbert-American exclusively for all our spirit wear needs. I know of no one else who would work with us the way Lee has to insure our satisfaction. Lee Gilbert is a businessman like no other I have ever seen. I consider myself lucky to now call Lee my friend.
